Know what to trust on YouTube in real time

Facty spots the claims in a video, checks them against live web sources, and shows a verdict with links — right as you watch. Video in any language — verdicts in yours.

Free 30 minutes every month. No card.

Real time

Verdicts appear as you watch.

Checked against the web

Every claim is verified by live web search — up to 5 source links per verdict.

Facts, not opinions

Opinions and predictions are flagged, not judged.

Any video

From reviews and science to politics — the topic doesn't matter.

How it works

Nothing to set up

Fact-checking on YouTube in three steps — no keys, no signup.

  1. 1

    Play a video

Facty picks up YouTube captions on its own. No keys, no settings — just watch.

  2. 2

    AI checks as it goes

It pulls out checkable claims, searches the web and cross-checks independent sources — piece by piece, while you watch.

  3. 3

    See the verdict

A card pops up over the player at the right moment; the full breakdown lives in the side report panel.

Ready to go the moment you install.

Features

More than “true / false”

All of it — already in the free version, no API keys or setup.

Verdicts with sources

Five levels instead of a black-and-white “true / false”. Up to 5 sources per claim — check them yourself.

  • ✓ True
  • ✓± Mostly true
  • ⚠ Misleading
  • ✗ False
  • ? Unverifiable

Tells facts from opinions

Facty doesn't argue with opinions or jokes: it flags 💬 Opinion and 🔮 Prediction, and checks only what's actually checkable.

Full video report

The side panel gathers every claim, verdict and source into one breakdown — easy to go back and re-check.

Any language, out of the box

Video in English, German, Spanish? Verdicts and sources come in your language. No keys, no setup.

Real-time checking

Facty checks the part of the video you're actually watching — your minutes are spent only on what you watch, not the whole video at once.

No side

No political stance. A two-source rule and a transparent scale — not “our opinion”.

Privacy

We work from captions. We don't store your videos, and you can try it without an account.

Chrome & Firefox

One extension for both browsers. Live streams coming soon.

Every feature is already in the free version.

Who it's for

Who pays the most for misinformation

Facty confirms what's true as readily as it debunks what's false — for any audience.

News & politics viewers

In news and political clips there's plenty of spin — you can't check it by ear, the correction surfaces late, and by then the claim is already something you've repeated.

You decide what to believe right away: Facty shows where the truth is while you watch.

Traders & investors

A single unchecked headline can cost more than a yearly subscription.

Central-bank statements, earnings, crypto influencers — with sources in seconds. Decisions on facts, not hype.

Journalists & researchers

Re-watching an hour of video for three quotes is expensive.

Facty hands you a full report: every claim, verdict and cited source — ready material, not a paraphrase.

Students & the curious

It's easy to take a confident tone for truth and memorize a mistake.

Understand the topic instead of taking it on faith: every point has sources one click away.

How we check

Why you can trust the verdicts

For a fact-checker the big question is “why should we trust you?”. We answer with method, not promises.

Facty doesn’t just “ask an AI if it’s true”. For every claim in the video it runs a web search and compares what it finds. Only then does it give a verdict on the five-level scale. And when there are no reliable sources, it says so honestly: “unverifiable”.

We check the claim, not the person. Facty confirms what's true and debunks what's false just as readily — in any video, from any speaker, in any language.

  • Two-source rule

Facty gives a verdict only when independent sources back the claim. If there are no reliable sources, it says “? Unverifiable” instead of guessing.

  • Sources always up front

Every card links to the primary sources — you can double-check everything yourself.

  • AI can be wrong — we don't hide it

Every card has a “report a wrong verdict” button. You help — we fix.

  • On no one’s side

Not even yours. The AI checks the claim, not the speaker, staying unbiased, and shows both truth and falsehood.

  • Privacy

We work from captions and don't store your videos.

See for yourself — sources are always up front.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I fact-check a YouTube video?

Install Facty and play a video. The extension reads the captions on its own, pulls out checkable claims, and verifies them against independent web sources. Verdicts appear on a 5-level scale right over the player, as you watch.

How is Facty different from ChatGPT or plain search?

It works on its own and on time: no copying quotes or typing queries — verdicts appear over the video the moment a claim is made. Each comes with source links, not an answer “from memory”. And Facty checks the whole video, not just what you happened to notice.

Can’t I just spot misinformation myself?

Sometimes — but the claims that stick are the ones that don’t look false: a confident tone, a specific-sounding number, a real event framed slightly wrong. You can’t pause and search the web for every one, so unchecked claims pass by default. Facty checks them in the background and shows which ones don’t hold up.

Which languages are supported?

Video in any language; interface and verdicts in EN / RU / ES (more to come).

Do I need captions? What if there are none?

Yes, Facty works from YouTube captions (auto-generated ones work too). With no captions at all there is nothing to check.

How accurate are the verdicts? Can Facty be wrong?

It can, like any AI. That’s why a verdict is issued only from independent sources (the two-source rule), links are always open for you to verify, and every card has a “report an error” button.

Does Facty slow down my browser or the video?

No: all the checking runs on our server, the extension only shows results. The video plays as usual.

What counts as a “minute” of quota?

Minutes of the video you are checking. Each checked minute covers real work: extracting the claims in it, then searching the web and reading sources for every one. Watch without checking and no quota is spent.

Does it work on live streams?

Not yet — it's on the roadmap (coming soon). For now Facty works on recordings.

What do you store?

We don't store videos, we work from captions; you can try it without an account.

Is Facty unbiased?

Yes: we check the claim, not the person; a two-source rule; we show both truth and falsehood.

Chrome and Firefox? Mobile?

Chrome and Firefox — one extension for both. No mobile version yet.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In a couple of clicks from your account, anytime. Money for the paid period isn't lost — access stays until it ends.

Your next video will make claims either way. Watch it with the checking on.
